This book spoke to me!!! The entire book is a love affair with words, even if you never experienced love or heartbreak this book of poems and spoken word... pulls you in so you can actually feel what Lyric is going through/has gone through ... and then the words illustrate her triumph woven into her womanhood and resiliency to overcome. Goodness ... this book will stay close by, I can so relate!!

As soon as I started reading this book, I was overwhelmed with emotion and a sort of nostalgia. It is rare to experience such a beautifully written poetry book. This book was eloquently written and very well thought out in terms of the placement of each poem. The character was relatable to millennial women in this day and age and it brought up a lot of past emotions that I thought I had resolved years ago. It was such a breath of fresh air to finally get my hands on some poetry that I could vibe out to and relate to. Ms. Paradise did an amazing job with this book and I look forward to reading her upcoming books in the Paradise Chronicles!

I can't wait for "Nobody's Coming" the novel. A as true lover of love, I was taken by the question "When love dies how do you kill the feeling?" This book is a simplistic read that allows the reader to relate to an open heart. The writing embodies many emotions ranging from Love, Intimacy and Heartbreak. It gave me the inspiration to use my own pain as an outlet to create. As I flipped through the pages I felt like "Lyric" may be a girl I know and on some pages I felt that I myself was "Lyric." there is just something about words on paper that are never said out loud but are clearly understood.

As a women we all been through everything in the book. Whether it's finding yourself in a dark place, unaware of your career path, the person you love is not good for you, heartbreak and finally rediscovering you and seeing the light after the tunnel. I truly enjoyed this read because I felt like the author was talking to me. Reading my mind and writing a book about it. Many may not know what's going on with you personal because you walk through life with a smile mask but many people will enjoy this read very light and left me wanted more. Waiting on the novel "Nobody's Coming"!!
